The
Forbidden Island of Niihau, twenty miles west of Kauai, is
steeped in legend and shrouded in mystery. The clear, pristine waters
are teeming with tropical fish and Monk Seals, thriving in water so
clear that it is hard to believe.
On Niihau resides the last vestige of true Hawaiian culture in a primitive
environment without electricity or plumbing, with Hawaiian spoken
as the primary language |
